About our partnership

Beat The Odds partnered with Equitable School Partnerships (ESP) and the Hurley K-8 School to deliver a 10-week after-school creative arts program for 7th and 8th grade students. This collaboration introduced students to four creative tracks which included Music Production, Songwriting, Content Creation, and Dance, where they built hands-on skills and worked collaboratively on original projects.

Each session began with intentional check-in questions, creating space for students to connect and engage in meaningful conversations around important topics, helping to build community and trust throughout the program.

The program culminated in the Hurley Winter Showcase, where students presented their work to an audience of families, peers, and community partners. Highlights included a live dance performance, original beats produced by the music production group, a student-written Hurley theme song paired with a music video, and a powerful student testimonial created by the content team.

This partnership marked an exciting first collaboration, empowering students to express themselves creatively while building confidence, technical skills, and a strong sense of community.
